{"home day" + dinner with friends}

Lilli was a little moody this am, and she decided that she didn't want to go anywhere. She wanted a "home day." So that is exactly what the kids and I did. We found a lot to do at home. We started the day by doing a T25 workout. Yay!!! I told you no sad trombone for next week :) After working out we did a lot more. We played in the lower level. They pulled all of the cushions off of the couch and created a ship. We then pretended to swim in the water and float in the ship. Lilli was "Mermaid Lilli." Here is a slo-mo video I shot of her jumping into the water:

Lilli also painted some pasta to make necklaces tomorrow:

We took a break and watched "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" to rest for a bit. Thank you, Netflix :) The kids liked the movie. I was reminded how amazing Dick Van Dyke is. Neither kid fell asleep.

We played more in the lower level, and then it was time for Dada to get home from class. We quickly got ready, and then we headed over to Grandma and Bumpah's for dinner. We went there because Sara and Mike were in town from Minnesota with the kids. It was nice to get the kids together to play. We also had our Christmas gift exchange with them. Here are some pics from tonight:
How cute are these kids?!
Caden LOVED the Spider-man shooter and mask he got.
The girls wanted to put together some jewelry with the new bead set we got for Maddie:

The kids both fell asleep in the car on the way home :) It was a very busy day.

Until later!
Barby
