{Mama's school}

Who would think it could be so much fun visiting a high school classroom...in the summer? My kiddos think it is. Caden has been asking to go there, so I decided because we didn't have anything else planned, we would head there today so I could work on setting up my room (hang posters and things). They LOVED it. We were there for four hours! My friend Becki even brought her daughter Addy to play. Caden says she is his girlfriend :) I didn't get any pics with all of the kids, but I did get some with my kiddos. Here you go:
Watching "Dinosaur Train" on my screen in my room.
Helping me put up the borders on one of my bulletin boards.
Lilli enjoyed sitting on top of some picnic blankets and cutting paper.
The return trip home :) Wiped...out...

After dinner we decided to try a new frozen yogurt place called Berry blast. The kids approved:
They probably ate about half of what was in their bowls. Eyes are ALWAYS bigger than the stomach :)
This last pic I took right before taking the kids up to bed. Lilli was all about snuggling and hugging Caden. Too cute...

Until later!

{larygytis in July?! + soccer}

I noticed yesterday that I had a touch of a sore throat, but I didn't think too much about it. This morning, however, different story... My throat was so sore that I got up at 4:30 to get a throat lozenge [I then went back to bed =)]. Now my voice is all croaky. I didn't think people got Laryngitis in July! Now I need to kick this before we go camping this weekend. Wish me luck!

The highlight of today was going to soccer with Caden. He is just so cute. Lilli was a super cute spectator as well :) Here are some pics:

Can you see the excitement in his face?
He loves to kick the ball.
He was very fast, too. After class he said, "I am pretty sweaty!"
Dora helped keep Lilli entertained for the 45 minutes :)

Until later!

{Caden's pics, mowing, air show, and thneeds!}

Today was a day to get things done. The kids were at Tricia's, so that meant time for Mama. It all started with a 5:15 am workout at the Y. The rest of the day was cleaning and running errands. The kids wanted to play outside while I was getting dinner ready. Caden decided to take some pics. Here are some of his pics:

The tailgating cooler was drying with beverages still inside. Lilli swiped couple juices before I noticed :)

Getting ready to put the chicken in the oven.
Lilli was obviously to the "no more pics" point.
By the time Dada got home, dinner wasn't quite ready, so he quickly cut the lawn. He had a pretty cute helper:

She thinks this is soooo much fun.
Caden did what he is always doing now...riding his bike. He also informed me today that he will be asking Santa Claus for a new bike that has a kick stand. It's all about the kick stand.

We decided we should eat dinner outside and checkout the airshow. We can see parts of it from our backyard. Ryan snapped a couple of pics. Here is one of them:

They don't make Lilli cry this year, but she still isn't a huge fan of the noise.

We were also able to sneak in a quick manicure for Lilli :

I am amazed by how well she sits for this.

We ended the night with a walk. Lilli insisted on not wearing shoes or bringing a blanket (I know it's July, but the weather doesn't seem to understand that). She got chilly, so she ended up wearing my shirt. Ryan pointed out that it looks like a "thneed" from The Lorax. Too funny...

She kept putting her legs out the side while I was pushing. It was hilarious.

Also kinda looks like a jailbird.

Until later!

{camping adventures + go Timber Rattlers!}

Sorry the last updates have been so late. Busy days!!! It is so nice to be home :) I still have a lot to do in order to get caught back up, but it is nice to see those sweet little faces :) Caden, Daddy and Bumpah didn't get home until early evening, so Lilli, Grandma and I went to grab some necessities at Woodman's. We were so happy when the guys got home. Check out these cute pics from their (very wet) camping trip:

Not only was it a little chilly, but it rained a TON in Door County.

The tarp kept them dry...for the most part :)

Happy but wet!

Getting a ride with Bumpah

The men
Even Baby Mickey (both of them) made it for the camping trip.
Snuggling up to stay warm :)

Picking some Door County cherries
Take a look at this beauty.
I love this pic.
The law finally caught up with him!
Today was also a great day. After church we got ready right away for tailgating at the Timber Rattler's game. This was the kids first baseball game, and they loved it! Lilli wasn't even afraid of the snake mascot, Fang, this time. We will definitely be heading back. Check out what we did:

Fun time, and yes...we are wearing coats...not jackets.
Look who asked for a Timber Rattlers' hat. Loved the ball, too.
Who doesn't love cotton candy?

Daddy loves it, too!

Lilli even held his hand!!!
They even have a huge sandbox for the kiddos.
The cute little girl in the front kept photobombing (popping into) Ryan's pics.
Giant slide fun? Yes, please!

Not so graceful :)
Here is a link to a video of the kiddos going down the slide: Slide Fun.

Well, I am off to bed! Tomorrow is a day of cleaning, and then dinner with Nicole! Yay!

Until later!

{last day of conference + home sweet home}

Today is the last day of the conference. Because of our flight, we will not be staying for the entire day. I printed our boarding passes this AM, so it should hopefully be smooth sailing (or flying) at the airport. I think we will be getting into Milwaukee around 9:30ish, so I am hoping to be home by 11. I hope...

I can't wait to see the kiddos. Ryan sent me this pic this AM:

I know it is dark, but it is Lilli sleeping with one of her babies.

I just wanted to jump into the pic and snuggle her. I am looking forward to seeing that cute little blondie tomorrow :) I will then get to see Ryan and Caden most likely tomorrow night as well. They left for camping in Door County this AM with Bumpah, so I will need to wait and see when they will be coming home. The weekend weather doesn't look too nice, so they may come back tomorrow night instead of Sunday AM. They need to be back because we are heading to the Timber Rattler's (baseball) game on Sunday. Fun! Fun! Fun! It should be a great weekend.

{Red Sox game fun...more conference time}

Last night at the game ended up being a lot of fun. We stayed up until the middle of the 7th inning. Because we were taking the train back to our hotel, we wanted to beat the crowd. It was nice to see and experience how nice everyone was at Fenway. For example, there was a family behind us who brought their own giant bag of peanuts to the game, and they kept sharing with our group and anyone who wanted some. It was nice. It is always nice to see when a large group of people get together and everyone is able to get along so well. Here are some pics:

Becki and me waiting to get on the train

A view from our seats

Absolutely beautiful weather :)

Today was another day of conferences. Then my English colleagues,Pat and Paul, and I headed out to see Walden Pond. Love... Here are some pics:

Here I am hanging with Thoreau.

Walden Pond

We were soggy, but it was well worth it :)

I was happy to be able to see the kiddos today, too. I miss them, and I will not be too sad to be going home tomorrow.

Until later!
