Teething frenzy

Well it seems that Caden has become a drooling mess in the last week. It isn't a constant where I see the need to keep a bib on him at all times, but there has most definitely been an increase in the area of drool. I know it is because he is teething. Here is what he looked like while watching "The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse."

I don't think it would be possible for him to cram that hand in any farther. I feel bad because I don't know what to give him. All of those little teether toys are for little kids; he shows no interest. He likes to chew on his nuk, but we are only trying to give him his nuk at bedtime. I wonder if there are any cool toys/teethers out there for non-infants that Caden would like? Any suggestions.

Rain, rain went away...finally

After a weekend filled with rain, Caden was pretty stir crazy by Sunday. You can't exactly reason with an 18 month old about why you can't play outside... At least not well.Today we finally had a break from the wet weather. So tonight, after eating his dinner very well like a big boy, we went outside and played. Here he is enjoying the fresh air. After daddy got home from his meeting, we went for a long walk with the dogs. What a great night!

I finally added the pics to the Florida post!

Yes, I did it! I got all of the pics off the computer that I don't need or want! It took quite a bit of time, but it is done. Next I will be adding the pics to the long awaited Florida post. After that Ryan is going to connect my old computer to the new one so that it will "mirror" it. I didn't even know that was possible. The great part is that it means I will not have to move anything over myself. My old computer will simply copy what is there onto the new one! Yay!

Next Ryan and I will be rolling grape leaves. We are having them for dinner tomorrow night. It is an extension of Danny's birthday. After that I plan to do a couple more loads of laundry and sneak in a quick workout. It may only be a 20 minute one tonight, but that is better than nothing!

Enjoy these pics of Caden chowing down on some marshmallows!

Monday, Monday!

I know I still haven't added pics to my last post. I feel pretty bad about that. I think I can confidently promise to get those picture up by tomorrow night. It was a pretty busy weekend, so I can use that as an excuse.

I also have a new laptop. I know that isn't a very good excuse since it is a new laptop, but I still need to get everything off of my old computer onto the new one. I already spend over an hour last night going through pictures that could be erased and not transferred to the new computer. That will take me a lot longer than I originally thought it would. I can't complain though! I am happy I have a new computer. My hard drive was completely filled on my new one. The big problem was that for some reason it will not recognize the power cord. The battery is fine, the power source is fine, the computer will just not recognize when it is plugged in. This is a problem. Especially when you have an almost 18 month old who likes to unplug the computer, which then completely shuts down the computer. It's a pain. But enough of my complaining.

This week my goal (besides uploading my pics) is to get back to working out. I know that if I don't, I will have a killer time trying to get back into the swing of things after our little girl arrives. Feel free to check in with me to see how I am doing. It may take just that to give me a push!

Happy Monday!

So Much to Say!!!

Where to begin? I will go back a little bit.

April 1st was my ultrasound. Ryan and I were thrilled to find out that we will be having a little girl at then end of August. I didn't really know going into the appointment if it is was a boy or a girl; I didn't have a strong feeling either way. I was very surprised when she said it was a girl. Of course I cried. I think I cried because I was so very surprised. Here are some pics of our little girl:

We told Caden, and he wasn't too moved. I don't think he would have been too thrilled either way. Mickey Mouse, on the other hand, very thrilling.

We left bright and early April 3rd for Florida. We had a 6 am flight out of Appleton, so we were up and moving at 4 am. Caden did very well on the flights. We had a lay over in Detroit on the way there. Caden was a trooper on both flights. We kept him busy with man different toys. Here is also something that Ryan created for this trip. He made credit card sized pics of family members. He had fun taking pulling them out of a wallet and putting them back in. I would highly recommend this.

The weather in Florida was great. We had a lot of fun. Some of the highlights were: Dinosaur World, John's Pass (where we went to Bubba Gump Shrimp), going to Sand Key Park Beach, the Tampa Zoo, and just visiting with Mom and Bill. Here are some highlight pics:

Walking hand in hand with Daddy and Oma.

Playing peek a boo with Mommy.

Laughing after the water hit his feet.

Letting his feet take a dip in the pool.

Helping Oma do some of the farming on Farmville.

Tell Papa stories.

Here is a look back last year when we went to the beach Spring 2009 with Caden.

The difference this year was that he didn't cry. Last year he was happy until the water splashed him. This time he laughed every time that the water splashed. It was too cute. The water was still a little too cold to swim in for him, but he still had a great time walking down the beach with Mommy and Daddy. He also loved wearing my sunglasses.

We flew back to Wisconsin on the 10th. This time our lay over was in Minneapolis. We got in at 10 am and left at 1:35. It wasn't too bad. There was enough time for us to have a sit down lunch at the Fridays in the airport (where Caden really enjoyed their Mac 'n' cheese, plus we had time to tire Caden out on the moving walkways. Those were a pretty big source of entertainment. Plus all of the walking added up to him sleeping for the 40 minute flight from MN to Appleton.

Ryan and I were already talking about how next time we go to Florida we will most likely not fly. It was just be a little too difficult with Caden (super active little man) and a baby. We will most likely drive and just split the trip into two ten hour driving days. Driving straight through would be too much for the kids, plus neither of us really have ever been the type to drive straight through. I enjoy sleeping too much to miss out on it. Oh well. That will not be for a year from now, so we won't worry about it now.

Have a good week!
